We are holding the 10th Annual Royal Marsden Breast Cancer Meeting on Friday 6th of October 2017 at the Royal College of Physicians, London NW1.
This year we aim to provide an update on what is new, challenging and controversial in the management of patients with breast cancer. This year our programme will address the contentious dilemmas surrounding Post Mastectomy Radiotherapy and Reconstruction, and how or if, they go together. We will also look at various other challenges and hot topics in medical oncology.
This year marks a decade of organising these annual meetings and we are delighted to announce our Cridlan lecturer, Professor Mitch Dowsett, who will be ‘unravelling the mysteries surrounding ER and Breast Cancer’. Professor Dowsett is a Professor of
Biochemical Endocrinology at The Royal Marsden and the Professor of Translational Research at the Breast Cancer Now Research Centre at the ICR. He is the Head of the Centre for Molecular Pathology, Head of the Ralph Lauren Centre for Breast
Cancer Research and recently became only the third recipient from the UK of the Brinker Award for Scientific Distinction in Clinical Research. His research focuses almost exclusively on breast cancer and predominantly on hormonal aspects of the disease and
biomarkers of response.
The meeting is open to all professionals who are involved in looking after women with breast cancer, including clinicians and senior nurses. We will be holding the meeting again at the Royal College of Physicians, and it is recommended that you book your
place early given that we were heavily oversubscribed last year.
We look forward to seeing you in October.
