Gene, Cell and Molecular Therapies for Inherited Metabolic Disease Meeting University College London, Institute of Child Health British Society for Gene and Cell Therapy Satellite Meeting, Thursday 27th March 2014 The aim of this meeting is to establish and encourage a closer interface between clinicians and scientists with the goal of translating gene therapy and novel technologies into clinical treatment of inherited metabolic disorders to UK patients at the earliest opportunity. By bringing together those who will be needed to deliver therapy to patients; By learning from those at the forefront of research and those with experience of clinical trials wherever they are in the world, and facilitating collaborative links; By learning how to assess what is best science, best clinical practice and identify patients who will most benefit; We recognize that it is best for families if therapy is brought to them in their country of residence, so this is a meeting that focuses on bringing gene therapy for inherited metabolic disorders to the UK. This meeting is a satellite meeting of the British Society of Gene and Cell Therapy annual conference to be held at the same venue on 28th March 2014.
