Genetic Counsellor for Paediatric Epilepsy Service

Band 7

0.4 WTE

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join the newly established Genetic Counselling service within Paediatric Neurology services across King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trusts. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team across the two hospital Trusts, providing expert genetic counselling to families with genetic based epilepsy. This is a jointly supervised post between the Epilepsy service and Guy’s Clinical Genetics Department.

This is an autonomous role and you will be responsible for your own caseload. You will take an active and leading part in clinical research, audit and evaluation relevant to the activities of the service. This is an opportunity to develop a new role and shape the service.

The role is for two days per week, fixed term until 31st March 2017.
