Location: Clinical Genetics, Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, Dundee

    - A minimum of 5 years experience as a Genetic Counsellor

    - Experience in service development 

    - Experience in teaching and training junior genetic counsellors



    - Management experience




    - Registration as a Genetic Counsellor with the Genetic Counsellor Registrations Board (GCRB) or     equivalent

    - Evidence of continued professional development 


    And A or B


A) GCRB approved MSc in Genetic Counselling
B) Have a Masters Degree in a relevant field AND maintained registration as a nurse or midwife AND successfully completed a minimum of 90 hours guided counselling training AND successfully completed an academically accredited course in the science of human genetics of no less than 30 guided learning hours



    - Degree level qualification in Human Genetics related subject
