GenRes


The GenRes group was formed and is supported by the NIHR Collaborative Group for Genetics in Healthcare.

Genetics research nurses, counsellors and coordinators are central to recruitment to Genetics portfolio studies. The members of this group take studies through from R&D approval , to recruiting and recording recruitment. Many of the group are funded by NIHR Comprehensive Local Research Networks (CLRNs).

If you would like to join the group to share experiences, ask advice and take part in the annual study day, please contact Lynne Longstaff, Communications Administrator for the NIHR Collaborative Group for Genetics in Healthcare.

The next Study Day will be held on Friday 1st July 2016, UCLPartners, 170 Tottenham Court Road, London. 

The first annual study day was held at the Institute of Genetic Medicine, Newcastle University on 1st July 2011. Over 50 members of the group took part in the day. Read more

Following the success of the 2011 Study Day the GenRes group met again at the Institute of Genetic Medicine, Newcastle University on Friday 29th June 2012. Read more

In 2013, the GenRes Group met at the Friends House, Euston Road, London on Friday 28th June. James Brooks, Science Editor at BioNews, published by the Progress Educational Trust (PET) came along and wrote an article covering the day.
